The Queens Hotel in Blackpool, England staged the 2005 Contest to find the best Elvis Tribute Artist in Europe. Approximately 75 ETA’s competed for the coveted prize and the contest organisers were proud to welcome Elvis’s personal hairdresser and friend, Larry Geller, as one of the judges.

After preliminary rounds, 20 ETA’s were left to fight it out in the grand final. The standard was extremely high but after careful consideration the results were as follows:-

Champion – Leigh Castling
Runner Up – Neil J. Duncan
Second Runner Up – Paul Richie

Neil said "It was such a thrill to be placed in the final three at the European Contest in Blackpool. You really had to be there to witness the talent and quality of the competitors, which was of the highest calibre.

There was also the added bonus of having Larry Geller as one of the judges – this put a huge amount of credibility to the judging process. Larry had witnessed, first hand, Elvis close up and had studied his performances in numerous concerts"
